Effective Parameter of Nano-CuO Coating on CO Gas-Sensing Performance and Heat Transfer Efficiency

Abstract The high gas-sensing performance of semiconductors is mainly due to the surface-to-volume ratio because it permits a large exposed surface area for gas detection. This paper presents an evaluation study effects nano-CuO coating parameters on CO performance. and heat transfer efficiency CuO were evaluated by investigating (concentration, temperature, solution speed) thickness, grain size, porosity. nanoparticle coatings synthesized using oxidation method at various operating conditions. Coating characteristics investigated X-ray diffraction, energy dispersive Spectroscopy, field emission scanning electron microscopy, electrical resistivity meter. average porosity around 13 μm, 48 nm, 30%, respectively. thermal properties according total formed obtained from optimization based morphology achieve highest contact area. coating’s was increased 350 times, which improved 96.5%. result shows that thickness with increase in concentration decrease temperature. results also show sensitivity 50% reduction size.
